At the moment, Japan is being rocked by the issue of the marriage of Princess Mako, the eldest daughter of His Imperial Highness Prince Akishino, the younger brother of the Emperor. With the fiancé's mother facing a number of fraud suspects(?), this is an unlikely match that would be rejected by even normal families. I can't really be sure what is really going on, but I hope that her marriage will at least have the blessing of the nation.
