the cold dew season

Yesterday, 8 October, was the first day of 寒露(ka＼ɴɾo) - the cold dew season, which is one of the 24 solar terms.

It is said to be the time when autumn deepens and cold dew falls on the wild flowers and plants. This cold will eventually cause the trees to turn their beautiful colours.

However, the temperature is still over 30 degrees during the day. I had hoped that it would be cooler after October at least, but this year the temperature has not dropped very much.

The weather reminds me of some of my favorite light jackets that I put on in the cool morning and that I have lost when I went out during the hottest part of the day. It can happen when I am in a hurry, but it is very もったいない - Mottainai(mo／ttaina＼i)😞

Mottainai, is expressing regret that something that could be used is being wasted and this word is used on a daily basis.
