This post is a continuation of 'my name 1/2' from 2 October, 2021.

In the comments section of the aforementioned post, there was a discussion about how to use the Google Translator to see what 'a word' sounds like.

So I was thrilled to find out that the Portuguese '(a) ship' (not modern one, a carrack) ​is very close to the Japanese sound of my name, Nao. From now on, every time I see a ship or a ship motif, I will think it is mine, lol.

By the way, if you pay attention to high and low accents when you speak Japanese, you will be able to distinguish the meaning of words and your Japanese will sound more natural. It seems that the Japanese pronunciation shown by the Google translator is sometimes less than natural, or even completely different to what it actually is.

The number of speakers of Japanese is high, as it is proportional to the population (120 million), most of all who use it as mother tongue are in Japan. On the other hand, not many learn it as a second language outside Japan, then ​I think it is inevitable that the accuracy of Japanese sound on the Google translator is not very good.
