made a lot of cloth masks in 2020

As I passed by the handicraft shop, I remembered that I made a lot of cloth masks in the spring and summer of 2020. It was the Corona disaster that inspired me to make them. By the beginning of the year, disposable masks would have been available everywhere, but around February, we couldn't find them except for high resale prices. As Japanese people are taught to sew by hand and machine in compulsory education, the shortage of masks naturally led us to make our own to meet the demand. However, not everyone is so handy, so donations of cloth masks were also actively sought everywhere. As a graduate of a dressmaking school, I couldn't miss this opportunity. How many pieces did I make? Too many to count. Too many, anyway. I sent them to my relatives and friends and also donated them. Nowadays we can buy any kind of masks anywhere, but I make new ones when my own ones are worn out.
