my name 1/2

Just for my curiosity, how do you pronounce my name Nao? 'Nay-oh' as in 'Naomi'? I'm not sure exactly how I write by phonetic symbols, but 'na' as in 'now' and 'oh' as in 'Naomi.'

My name sounds 'Na-oh'

with accent on the front - The exchange of comments was the kicker that made me add this, thank you!🗣️

When someone who especially is a native speaker says 'Now,' I sometimes mishear it as if I were being called. I was not the only one who misheard it, so I could say that to Japanese ears my name and NOW can sound much the same.

While researching all about the name, I found some news I didn't know. I didn't notice it because it was lost in the corona disaster.
