the darkness of a storage room

Recently I talked about 'colour' with my friend, Japanese has many beautiful colour names. We found this colour, which was called 納戸色(Nando-iro) looked alike Teal : https://www.colordic.org/colorsample/2078

納戸(Nando) means a storage room and there are many theories to explain this colour name. I thought it was interesting the best: 'The colour of the darkness of a storage room.'
